Hi there! Thanks for your post- it was just what I was searching for. I'm a natural soap maker, but encountered a person today at a craft fair selling lotion with no preservative. He was very proud of that fact, and was using it as a selling feature- as if making a SAFELY preserved lotion was a bad thing!! (another person sharing misinformation!!!) It upset me! When I shared what I know about needing a preservative in a water based product, he said he had a microbiology degree and doubted what I said was true. You made the statement in your blog that the FDA requires a preservative for cosmetics that aren't soap. I want to email him that info, but haven't been able to find it on the FDA's site. Would you share a link? Or, if you read it somewhere else- could you share that info?
Thanks!!!

I love your addition of honey to this avocado mask! The beauty of avocado is that it can be combined with just about any ingredient to make a healthy, moisturizing mask. Great post!

I use beakers and lab glass only. It's non porous and easy to clean because it is seamless. Even my stir sticks are lab glass stir rods. It's a little expensive but it's worth it to invest in this equipment.
Take care
